If you like the outdoors and you want some fresh air then Clint wants to "take a hike" with you!
The plan is to meet once a month and choose a different trail to get to know some of the great hiking spots in San Diego County. Clint doesn't want to do it alone so why not keep him company while you get some "you time".

It's time for the monthly hike!
This time we'll meet at Old Mission Dam. I've posted the directions below. Meet time will be 8am on Saturday, September 17th, (This Saturday), and we'll take an easy stroll on the trails. There's a cool little bridge there with a walking trail through some of the area. Bring a camera because you can see coyotes, deer, possibly a mountain lion, although that is rare, and much more.
I'll be in the parking lot where the dam is located and hope to see you there…bring plenty of water, sun screen and definitely close toed shoes for safety.

Directions:
From Interstate 8 – Take 8 to the Mission Gorge/Fairmount exit. Turn north onto Mission Gorge Road, then east at the Friars Road junction to stay on Mission Gorge Road, and follow it for 4.2 miles. Just past the Jackson Drive intersection, turn left onto Father Junipero Serra Trail. Proceed past the pipe gate and down Father Junipero Serra Trail. The entrance to the Old Mission Dam parking lot is 1.8 miles down on the left, just past the stop sign at the 2nd pipe gate.
From Route 52 – Take 52 to the Mast Blvd. exit in Santee. Turn north onto Mast Blvd. and then right at the 1st traffic signal (West Hills Parkway). Take West Hills Parkway to Mission Gorge Road and turn right. Take Mission Gorge Road 0.2 miles and merge right onto Father Junipero Serra Trail. Proceed 0.7 miles down Father Juniper Serra Trail to the the Old Mission Dam parking lot, located on the right.
From Route 125 - Take 125 north to Mission Gorge Road and turn left. Proceed down Mission Gorge Road 2.0 miles and merge right onto Father Junipero Serra Trail. The entrance to the Old Mission Dam parking lot is located 0.7 miles down, on the right.
From Route 15 - Take 15 to the Friars Road exit and head east. Friars Road will change into Mission Gorge Road, which you follow for about 4.2 more miles. After you pass the light at Jackson Dr., turn left onto Father Junipero Serra Trail. Proceed down past the pipe gate about 1.8 miles (speed limit is 15 mph and there are several speed bumps). The Old Mission Dam parking lot entrance is located on the left, just pass the stop sign.
