Bio:There are two things it seems everyone knows about San Diego: 1, that the weather is perfect; and 2, that KGB is the rock-solid rock station. It's one of a handful of radio stations in America that have been true to rock n roll…and no other format…for 4 non-stop decades. It's an honor and a thrill to be side by side with Coe Lewis doing mornings in this damn near perfect town! Coe will tell you…it's all about the KGB listeners. When you win, we win. It's up to you and to us to keep rock alive and well in San Diego!
Here's my radio deal: In the teenage years: Soldering iron in hand, built a 100 watt pirate station in Dix Hills, New York. A FCC visit to my parent's house ended the fun 3 months later. Comedy. After college and for 20 years (almost to the day) I was the WBAB/Long Island VP/Programming and Morning DJ. Favorite moment: The WBAB No-Skin, No-Win Tanning Contest. Judging by the babes who's pictures line the walls of KGB, I know you've witnessed some of those yourself.
The next decade was spent as Program Director and DJ at KGB's sister station, WAXQ, Q104.3/New York. Favorite moment: When the legendary WNEW-FM declared that rock was dead and that they were changing formats. We jumped in and went, over time, to #1 Adults in New York. Manhattan is a one-of-a kind place to live and work.
In 2008, I got hired as Program Director and Afternoon DJ at KLOS, to the north in LA. We had plenty of fun there as well, with KLOS being one of the few stations to share in KGB's legacy of 4 decades of rock loyalty. Got to love Southern California…no doubt!
It's the middle of 2012 and here we are. I'm hoping your support of rock in San Diego will bring the legendary KGB to even greater heights. We're all in this together!
Bio: I am your girlfriend Coe Lewis and I am what you call "a true rocker girl". Born in Texas. and raised all over the world in places like Ethiopia, Lebanon, Spain and Belgium. I am the youngest of three very tall blondes!
I first started at KGB in 1987 and worked all different day parts, I was the Music Director and the Assistant Program Director. I left for a couple of years in the mid 90's, and returned in 1995. I have been here in some capacity for about 20 years. My first love and one true love is KGB. I went on to sell real estate a few years ago, and I still do..but came back to plug in the headphones again. You guys just can't get rid of me!! Someone told me the other day that I have been on the radio longer than any other female in San Diego! Wow, now I feel REALLY old. Amazing since I am only 28! But you know what...I just love what I do, playing the best music ever for the best listeners ever. KGB has allowed me to work with the best artists in the world. I have interviewed everyone from the Stones to Van Halen. And anyone who knows me knows that my favorite band in the world is Led Zeppelin. I always say..."when I kick, bury me with my Zeppelin CDs". That band along with the Beatles got me into radio. My love for their music was so strong and deep, I knew this was my calling.

Favorite things to do on your days off: I grew up in Southern Cal…went from K-12 in the public schools while Dad was a Professor in the Cal State University system.
Growing up I'd hear the coolest jocks on both of the KGBs. Sure I also listened to The Mighty Met in LA, KPPC, KHJ and Rock in Stereo KLOS (where I was a DJ in the late 70s) BUT there was something different about the KGBs. They were more exciting and fun to listen to…you felt like you were a part of it. From Big Ron, Jesse Bullett, Bobby Ocean, Ern Gladden and Wizard Lou Rogers on the AM to Bill Hergonson, Gabriel Wisdom, Jim McGinness and Bob Coburn (one of my faves and proud to say a friend to date) on the FM. Listening to the KGBs made me feel like part of a family related by music and I… WANTED…IN! I CRAVED TO BE A KGB DJ.
Well, after a very loooooonnnnnnggggg wait, I'm proud to say a dream came true this year on Valentine's Day (how appropriate) when "The KGB" recruited me. My flagship shift is Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm.
I'm gonna enjoy rockin' San Diego, man!
Bio: Clint August has been a fixture in San Diego Radio for the past twelve years. He started out as a morning show side kick doing impersonation prank phone calls and crazy street stunts for almost seven years. He then became an on air co-host with Rock 105.3 in afternoon drive. He is now back on 101KGB from 3:00pm - 7:00p.m. Monday-Friday.
Clint is also a family man with a wife and two boys. He coaches soccer and t-ball and he is the co-founder and host of an annual military charity event to support our heroes in uniform. He enjoys riding his motorcycle with friends, hiking (mostly to the fridge for another snack), and he's been on the hunt for the best burger in San Diego for the past two years...which explains why he also needs to lose 50 lbs!!!
