I have worked in a variety of fields. My first job was delivering newspapers. I then worked as a cashier at a bookstore and worked in a fast food sandwich restaurant. I was promoted to shift leader in a smoothie shop. I then worked in the retirement community as a server for the dining room and then on to do activities and I did some storeroom work as well. Lastly, I worked at another retirement home as a Class B driver while doing the activities and front desk responsibilities.
I have a Class B License to drive a Bus/Van with limit of up to 15 passengers. I have a background on how to use a hydraulic lift and wheelchair transferring and tying them down.

The love of a pet owner...our Hooter Girl Lex needs some KGB love!
Thursday, November 21, 2013
Hi KGBERS, firstly, thank you for the most incredible birthday of my life. I am still so overwhelmed that I have to step back and process everything. Your love and kindness are beyond words...truly. And I wanted to ask some help of you. Sweetest Hooter girl Lex, our friend of the Bob & Coe football challenge really needs some help. Her beautiful pet nearly died from intestinal issues after eating a bunch of things. With no time but to act immediately, she had to take him to the emergency vet. You know what that means....THOUSANDS of dollars to save her baby. She didn't even think but to do the right thing. Of course the down side is this is just too big a bill for her...and her income. To my fellow pet lovers, we have all been there...If you could spare a couple of bucks to help her knock down the bill would be amazing. I will tell you that she is hurting deeply over her mothers illness as well and is just on tilt right now. She is lovely and thoughtful, and I hope you can help. You can send a check c/o Coe's List and memo it "Lex" and I will make sure it gets to her. KGB 9660 Granite Ridge Drive, S.D. CA 92123 Thank you on behalf of Lex and myself :0)

Dear Prospective Donor,
On November 14, 2013 Team Parker 4 Life, will be hosting their first annual Team Parker 4 Life
Golf Tournament in San Diego at Sycuan Golf Resort The purpose of the Golf Tournament is to
raise Awareness and funds for Parker David Shaw and Neuroblastoma.
Neuroblastoma is a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells found in several areas of the
body. Neuroblastoma most commonly arises in and around the adrenal glands, which have
similar origins to nerve cells and sit atop the kidneys. However, neuroblastoma can also develop
in other areas of the abdomen and in the chest, neck and near the spine, where groups of nerve
cells exist. Neuroblastoma most commonly affects children age 5 or younger, though it may rarely
occur in older children
Team Parker 4 Life is inspired by 6 yr old Parker David Shaw.
Parker David Shaw was born on
October 23rd, 2006 to first time parents David and Crystal Shaw. The moment they held him in
their arms, they were filled with a love they could have never imagined. Parker was also the first
grand-baby born to both sets of Grandparents. Needless to say he was a bit of a celebrity in our
now growing family. Parker is a vivacious, active, and special little six year old boy, full of spunk
and energy. On Wednesday, April 10th doctors found a tumor above his kidney in his adrenal
glands. We were all in shock, and completely devastated to hear that our little man has cancer.
He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and his cancer had spread to his bones. Our family has
made a pact to be strong in our faith and optimism. With all of your love, prayers, and support we
know he will conquer this terrible disease! Words cannot describe how thankful we are for all of
your generosity and love. God gave Parker the strength to overcome this. His plan has a greater

to help many children in the years to come. Most importantly raising awareness and finding a

Urgent funds needed to keep animal rescue functioning...HELP!!!!
Monday, November 11, 2013
Hey KGBERS, I am in a rescue loop for great people and organizations who get out there day in, day out, to get animals out of harms way. I got this URGENT PLEA...would you mind helping with ANY AMOUNT POSSIBLE. They are well-known for all the work they do...and they are flat broke right now. Animal rescue is very expensive, and we just cannot let this happen. I KNOW KGBERS WILL HELP!! thanks friends
To our Furry friends,
We are reaching out in hopes you may be able to help us network.
The plans we have been working on in the last couple months for our dogs fell through.
We have 2 in boarding and 1 foster now and have used the last bit of our funds to close our bills today.
We are officially out of funds for the first time and are forced to stop rescuing if we can not reach out to receive help in donations.
This is the hardest time for us and we are extremely saddened by the quick turn of event.
We hope you may bring some energy into our rescue so we can get back to work and support the dogs we have now.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
please check out our Furry babies:

Urgent Need for military family
Thursday, October 24, 2013
KGBERS, I cringe when I hear of a family giving up their pets. BUT, I ASSURE YOU, this case is very very different. This military family has a baby that has been fighting ear infection after ear infection after ear infection. They have tried absolutely everything...but the child always ends up in the hospital. With their breaking hearts, they have come to the point they maybe somehow (though tests have proved otherwise) that the cats just might be the underlying cause. Michelle, the wife and mother is despondent over this. But they have two exquisite, loving, calm, patient 10 year old cats who are life mates. Could you please open your hearts and home for these babies, and give a family a mental break from stressing over everything. Below, are the note she sent me. Please, somebody will be so lucky to have these babies. And please share far and wide. thank you.....Coe
My brother, Peter, is a long-time fan of yours and recommended that I contact you to see if you might be able to give us a hand through your awesome network of fans.
Here is our story (I will do my best to keep it brief!).
Over the last two years, our 3 year old son - Jack - has been battling chronic ear and sinus infections. And when I say "battling", I mean chronic, back to back, with no more than 10 to 14 days of reprieve before the next infection sets in again. From birth, Jack has been congested, stuffed up, etc. He was hospitalized for 10 days after he was born due to a lung infection. While he came out healthy and strong, it seemed that the congestion was constant but rarely did it slow him down. When Jack turned one he was diagnosed with his first ear infection. After multiple rounds of antibiotics, the infection persisted and the fluid remained in his ears. We visited an ENT every 4 to 6 weeks and were advised to get tubes to help alleviate the discomfort and the issue of the repeat ear infections. Jack had tubes placed in his ears and within two weeks after the procedure - the infections were back. Two months later, the infections were so severe and so frequent that he went back in to the operating room to have a second set of tubes placed in his ears and his adenoids removed in hopes that this would resolve the issue. Again, within weeks of the procedure, the infections were back. Over the course of this year, Jack has had 3 procedures, extensive lab work to rule out Cystic Fibrosis, every allergy imaginable and immune deficiency issues. Thankfully, all of Jack's blood work has come back negative and we don't believe we're looking at something scary but we still don't have an answer to what is causing the problem. And we are doing everything ... dairy and gluten free diets, ENT visits every 4 to 6 weeks, seeing an integrative pediatrician on a weekly basis. At this stage, we are in a place where we need to eliminate any potential triggers that might be the underlying cause and one of those potential triggers may be our cats - Thomas and Clarabelle. From the outset, we asked if the cats were an issue and we were advised to hold off on finding a home until we got to the bottom of some of the testing and to see what the outcome of the procedures would be. After 3 procedures, cultures, biopsies, etc., it's finally time to find a new home for our cats to give Jack a chance to get to a healthy place, should the cats be an underlying trigger. We have gone out to all our family and friends, put up messages on Facebook and trying so hard to avoid the shelter. I adopted Thomas and Clarabelle 10 years ago while I was in law school and they are wonderful, loving and loyal pets.
This is much more long winded than I intended but I am so hopeful that you might be able to help us. My husband is a helicopter pilot in the Navy and has been deployed or on work-ups for the majority of this past 3 years. We also have a beautiful little girl who just celebrated her 1st birthday. I was a full-time working mom until this past August when I had to quit my job due to Jack being sick nearly every other week. It's been a long road and I tried to hang on to keep the cats with us but know that a new home is the only answer. I know that there are people and families out there that would be take in loving, healthy animals ... I just can't reach them! I'm desperate for any help that you may be able to offer. A picture is attached of the cats - Thomas is the orange Tabby and Clarabelle is the Tortie. Both are 10 years old and such sweethearts.
Thank you so much, Coe. I'm sure you get hundreds of emails and I don't even know if you'll get a chance to read this. If you do, thank you for taking the time.
Michelle, Jeff, Jack and Madeleine Adams
Here are some photos of Thomas and Clarabelle. Please let me know if you need me to send them again. They are in jpg format. Both cats turned 10 this month (October) and are wonderful, loving pets. Clarabelle is the lady of the house and LOVES attention and is your typical "lap cat." Thomas is more like a dog in many ways and will follow you around and come to you when you call him by name. Many family members have small dogs, so they've been exposed to small dogs and are used to their space being overrun by dogs from time to time. They have been unbelievably patient and phenomenal with the kids. Not once have we had an incident with the kids or other animals. Both kitties recently went to the vet and are in good health. They are not declawed. The organization we rescued them from was/is against declawing due to cruelty and we agreed that we would never declaw. Both cats will use scratching posts. They have shared a litter box for the last 10 years and are fine doing so.
All in all ... I can't say enough about what wonderful animals they are. They are very social and LOVE human contact and thrive on it. It's been hard having my husband gone and being here with a toddler and the baby. They deserve much more and I feel so sad that we are looking for a home under these circumstances.
Again ... THANK YOU SO MUCH for your response. It means so much to all of us!

It's Wolf Awareness Week in Julian starting Oct. 26th...sign up for a great event!
Tuesday, October 22, 2013
Our government once again is about to make a "not-good" move in potentially delisting from the endangered list... the gray wolf... which was hunted to the brink of extinction. Please sign petitions that are circulating to say NO...keep these majestic animals protected in America. But did you know right in our own beautiful Julian is the fabulous California Wolf Center which not only gives you the chance to see these animals up close, but learn about them and their habitat as well?
I spoke with a church member named Kim and her husband, who volunteer at the center and they told me of a terrific event for you, your friends and family to participate in. It's a program that includes a fundraising event, featuring wolf experts and researchers. There will be food and drink, silent auctions, and all sorts of fun and fascinating things going on benefitting the Cal. Wolf Center. Go to the website at: http://www.californiawolfcenter.org for more info. There are two programs, afternoon and evening for this Saturday the 26th. RSVP to 760-765-0030. Support this GREAT organization...and thanks Kim for the info!!!

CALIFORNIA PET LOVER’S LICENSE PLATE PROGRAM
Specialty License Plate Program will Provide Funding for Spay and Neuter of Cats and Dogs in the Golden State
September 24, 2013 (Los Angeles, CA) – The California Spay and Neuter License Plate Fund Inc. and the California Veterinary Medical Board are proud to announce that the Pet Lover’s License Plate is now available through the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) thanks to the support of animal lovers all over the state, including Governor Brown, Pierce Brosnan and Cesar Millan.
The Pet Lover’s License Plate was created to provide funding for free and low-cost spay and neuter in an effort to cut down on the number of dogs and cats that end up in shelters each year.
The unique plate features original artwork designed and donated by international actor, artist and animal lover Pierce Brosnan. The artwork is of two of the animals adopted by Brosnan and his family – Shilo, their dog, and Angel Baby, their cat.
“Over a half million dogs and cats are killed in California shelters every year.” said Mr. Brosnan. “This license plate will provide much needed funds which will enable people who couldn’t necessarily afford to spay or neuter their pets to do so.”
Dog Behaviorist, TV Star and founder of the Cesar Millan Foundation, Cesar Millan, backs the program’s efforts to raise awareness on the importance of spaying and neutering pets.
“The most humane way not to kill a dog is to spay and neuter. When we kill four to five million dogs nationally per year, what that says about our behavior is that we have become a disposable society,” says Cesar Millan. “To me, a spay and neuter campaign is just as important as the Buckle Up campaign; it saves lives.”
Millan added that he personally ordered plates for his pack, the Cesar Millan Foundation and his staff at the Dog Psychology Center.
“The first dog Sutter wants everyone to buy the license plates to raise money for spaying and neutering animals, so not as many get killed,” said Governor Jerry Brown during a press conference to promote the plate.
Approximately $40 from each purchased plate will go towards spay & neuter programs throughout the state. The plates can be purchased for $50 for a standard plate or $98 for a personalized plate.
“The Pet Lover’s License Plate provides a fun and easy way for pet lovers to help reduce pet overpopulation,” said Judie Mancuso, President of the fund. “Now that the plate is available through the DMV more than 32 million registered vehicle owners in the state have the option to buy the new plate and we hope they do and help save lives”.

Think of donating to Coe's List for your holiday giving!
Monday, October 14, 2013
Hey friends...after much work, Coe's List became a non-profit earlier this year! With the holidays fast approaching...it starts to become crunch time for me because the need from so many hits all at once. Christmas is when desperate parents who haven't worked have no gifts for the children...or a family, or individual cannot even afford a holiday meal. It is so stressful because so many are in need. Won't you think of Coe's List this year with a donation. Any amount would be so appreciated and will be put to good use...as I research every case that I receive. You work hard for your money, so I work hard placing it where it is needed. People and animals are in need...and I hope you will think of Coe's List for your tax-deductable donation. :0) Checks can be made payable to: Coe's List, c/o KGB 9660 Granite Ridge Drive, SD,CA 92123. Nominate a family in need for OPERATION SANTA!
Thursday, October 10, 2013
Dear 101.5 KGB and the Bob and Coe show,
My name is Andrew Phung, and I’m one of the 2013 Operation Santa Chairs. Operation Santa is Alpha Phi Omega – Rho Pi Chapter’s biggest community service event of the year, originating in the year 2007. Within this particular event, we do our best to provide a Christmas holiday to families in need within the San Diego County. We make this possible through the nomination of families in need, adopting as many of these families as we can, and also be accepting donations to support our cause.
We were hoping to have your support this year for the upcoming holiday season. If you’ve supported us in previous years, we’d like to sincerely thank you for your support. If it’s possible, we would love the opportunity to talk on an air show for your radio station anytime between October and November. While we acknowledge that Christmas is still a ways away, our nomination and adoption process is currently open until November 15th, so the more publicity we can get, the better!
In addition, it would be wonderful if 101.5 KGB could occasionally give shout-out announcements for Operation Santa if possible. It would also really help us with our publicity!
Please let us know if you are able to support us. Thank you for your time and your consideration. We look forward to hearing you soon.
We had the pleasure of supporting a great fraternity that has an annual Operation Santa in which needy families are helped with the holidays! If you know someone who fits the bill and could use some cheer....please read!

Since I have been here I have been volunteering my automotive experience from before the Navy to the public that is in need. I post adds on Craigslist for volunteer mechanic and free mechanic. I have a facebook page Volunteer automotive services , San Diego. I do two to three jobs a week depending on there emergency level. I only require that they pay for their parts. I have diagnostic gear and every tool to do most jobs. I’m wondering if you know of anyone in need. If you don't right now please keep my email and number 425-773-4824 for the time that you do. I do this mainly for my faith and goodwill to others. I expect nothing in return. It brings me great joy to fix something, see them smile, and be happy knowing that they can go to work, take there kids to school or what ever they need to do. Thank you for your time.
THANK YOU CHRISTOPHER, AND THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR WIFE FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!

Letter from a listener who needs a job!
Friday, September 13, 2013
Good Morning Lovely Lady!
Special Note: We just took in another pup from the shelter. All the shelters are way beyond capacity and my rescue group put out an emergency call to all of us fosters as they were bailing over 35 dogs yesterday alone. The numbers are always high, but they are so over flowing they are having to make some tough decisions, hence the emergency. Miss Pammy told me that the Humane Society itself has over 650 cats and the shelters have over 500 - that is just crazy!! They have lowered their adoption costs to almost nothing ($5 for cats over 7 months) because it is dire to get these dogs/cats into loving homes. Please let the listeners know...
Thank you from the bottom of my heart... :-)

KGBERS...spread the word....DO NOT LEAVE ANIMALS OR CHILDREN UNATTENDED IN CARS!!! Danger!!
Thursday, September 5, 2013
Kgbers, Animal Control was OVERWHELMED with calls yesterday regarding animals trapped in cars in this very very dangerous heat. Leaving animals or children in a car IS NOT LOVE...it is a DEATH SENTENCE!! MANY TIMES THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TIME FOR ANIMAL CONTROL OR POLICE TO GET THERE IN TIME. Be on the lookout for animals OR children trapped and DO SOMETHING!!!! Better yet...spread the word....DEATH IN EXTREME HEAT IS THE MOST HORRIFIC ACT OF CRUELTY AND ANIMALS AND CHILDREN SUFFER EXCRUTIATING DEATHS. Don't put your family at risk....leave them home! If you see trouble DO SOMETHING...
if you see a child, person, or animal trapped in a car unable to get out...CALL 911. Or, call The County Department of County Animal Services emergency number at (619) 236-2341. IT TAKES ONLY MINUTES FOR DEATH!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a Coe's Lister in need!
"I have two boy kittens that I have been fostering. The black & white one is Tonto. The all black one is Ranger as in The Lone Ranger. They are 4 months old, nuetered, have had first round of shots. They have been given a clean bill of health by my vet. No aids or feline luekemia, no fleas or worms. They are sweet and playful. I adore them but already have their brother and two older cats. If you know of any good, cat loving people that would like to adopt them together that would be great. My cell is (619) 660-2466. Call or text.
Can You Foster This Precious Doggy?!
Friday, August 23, 2013
okay, here is baby number two. mitchell has some senior citizen issues, fatty tumor, cloudy vision, but a total love who just needs to have the last years of his life being loved and giving love. i learned about mitchell from a wonderful girl named victoria at the barking lot, and here is a note from a teammate of hers....please can we give this sweetpea a final home? thanks so much and please sh...are...
My request for help is for a four legged fellow named Mitchell. Mitchell could really use a break!! He needs a loving foster parent or better yet, a forever home! I am a volunteer for The Barking Lot dog Rescue in El Cajon. We rescue dogs from high kill facility's. Last year alone, we adopted 504 of these wonderful, thrown away pets, back into loving homes...Mitchell is twice abandoned, and now older and in rough shape. He has a fatty tumor, infected feet and skin, double ear infections, is deaf and has cloudy eyes. His body is fragile, and seemingly sore, when I lift him up.
Now onto the good things! Mitchell will walk right by your side at Fiesta, and you just melt seeing his joy! He loves to lay right on my stomach while I watch TV, and he always nudges his head into my hand for petting. He is my shadow in the house and his eyes are never off of me. He has the cutest, strained, old man bark-you have to laugh! Hedeserves a break!!
Thank you Coe, Deb (619) 354 - 4825
Most beautiful letter ever.....
Thursday, August 22, 2013
> My name is Daniel from Oceanside and I heard on the radio the other morning you were giving away padre tickets to a very deserving person. Well I know the best person In San Diego for them, she and her husband are the most caring and unselfish people I know. I was a troubled kid in high school and they took me in there home just from knowing there son and a little about me and completely changed my life around, if it wasn't for them I would be in jail or dead in a ditch probably. Instead I have a 3 year old son and another on the way, an amazing job and girlfriend and still reside in Oceanside. This wonderful woman I speak of was diagnosed and is terminally ill from a brain tumor that has now doubled into 2. Even with this tragic event she and her husband are still the most positive and inspirational people I know or could imagine. she doesn't have a lot of time left and is not always able to do a lot of things because of her seizures and pain surges. Movies and ball games are the most amazing things for her and husband Jeff to do. This would be the most amazing gift to her and there is no person more deserving. Please help me help out the greatest person who has ever been in my life while we still have this wonderful time on earth with her!
> Thanks so much for listening Coe!
> Daniel (I am in my truck all day for work and listen to you guys non stop and love the Bob and Coe show! You guys are always so nice and positive and keep me in a happy mood while I work :))
MOST BEAUTIFUL LETTER EVER...THANK YOU DANIEL...if you would like to help this beautiful couple...please let me know...email@example.com thank you...

Does anyone know of a child-custody attorney who works pro-bono?
Tuesday, August 13, 2013
I have a longtime listener in a critical situation in which she and her loving husband are trying to gain custody of their grandkids and some past bad decisions have made this extremely difficult for them. I know how wonderful they are, I know how much they have supported listeners on Coe's List, and I know right now how much they hurt because they are desperately trying to keep these kids and raise them in a safe and loving environment and not shoved all over the system. Again, past, way-past, mistakes are hanging over them and the grandkids will be the victims. If you know of ANYONE who could help...could you pass her info along? Lisa at 619-519-5947. Thanks so much

We have borrowed her at several adoption events which the Chula Shelter and Passion for Pitties have been at together.
Sadie is fabulous and we would really love to be able to help her, however you all know that we need a foster in order to do so.

Sadie did well on her behavior tests also, she's a really good dog that just has run out of time. :-(

Rest In Peace Sitarra
Tuesday, July 30, 2013
Very sad news today. Sitarra, one of our Bengal tigers, was rushed to the Emergency Hospital yesterday evening, unable to move her back legs. An MRI showed a ruptured disc, and surgery was started immediately. It was discovered that her spinal cord had been severed by pieces of the ruptured disc and there was no choice but to let her go.
Bobbi was near her enclosure when this happened, and no time was lost in getting her to the ER. Everything that could possibly be done was undertaken. This was a freak occurrence - very rare - and instantly paralyzed her. She would have felt no pain; just confusion because her legs didn't work. After consulting with the vets and surgeons, it would have been inhumane to leave her in this condition.
Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and concern. We know that you grieve with us, and your support means the world to us.
After rescuing Raja and Natasha, we discovered that Natasha was pregnant. Sitarra and her sister, Tabu, were born here at LTB November 8, 2002. Sitarra (which means "Star of India") weighed just 2 lbs 12 oz at birth. She was incredibly intelligent and independent. Sitarra was fascinated by people. She was usually the first to greet anyone who approached their enclosure. As cubs, Sitarra and Tabu slept together and spent hours watching the farm animals and resident dog Hobie at LTB.
A memorial will be planned to give us all the opportunity to say good-bye together.
A fund to cover Sitarra's emergency medical expenses has been established. Please call (619) 659-8078 or click here if you wish to contribute.
Lions, Tigers and Bears fundraiser THIS SAT 8/3...and prayers for tiger Sitarra
Monday, July 29, 2013
My wonderful friends have a very important fundraiser this Saturday (8/3)benefitting what I consider to be one of the greatest nonprofits in the U.S. We are blessed to have a magnificent animal sanctuary right in our midst...and need to support their animals and their great work which is day in and day out 24/7. So please buy a ticket for their Food and Wine celebration with wonderful chefs, exclusive wines and more....the animals, including Rose Parade superstart Meatball the bear!! I guarantee you will be blown away by LTB!
Also, I received an emergency prayer request for one of their beautiful tigers who was severely injured with a spinal disc problem...in which Sitarra just fell after playing chase. The surgery is critical and Sitarra has a 50-50 shot of recovery. These animals suffered greatly before being rescued, and it would be tragic beyond words to lose beautiful Sitarra...so please go to www.lionstigersandbears.org to help. Thank you....!

I have attached my resume so you can get an idea of who I am and my qualifications. I still tutor and that is what I want to do. My tutoring business primarily focuses on literacy and writing, but I also tutor for citizenship classes ( I am a naturalized citizen myself so I am familiar with the process) as well as GED prep. But until I can get my business off the ground, I will need a more conventional source of income. I have strong customer service and communication skills. I am also very organized and enjoy admin work.
I am a single mom trying to get back on my feet after leaving a violent marriage so I appreciate any leads that I can get. This is also one of the reasons I try to give my clients a break if they have trouble paying for my services. I believe literacy and written communication is a right of everyone. Unfortunately, I have found that those who would benefit the most from tutoring services are usually the ones who are least able to afford such service. I just want to be able to do what I can to help bridge that privilege gap.

Help Animals with Wildfire Season
Tuesday, July 9, 2013
I'm writing to let you know about our 'Wildland Fire Hay Fund'.
The “Fund” will allow us to be able to access hay during the next wildland fire here in San Diego. Follow the link below and donate to help us feed animals that we have evacuated from the next devastating Wildland fire we have. And we will have another one. Have you been watching the news lately? There have already been several fires. It’s just a matter of time, which seems to be running short given the pitiful amount of precipitation we’ve had lately and the amount of dead vegetation in the back country.
So please, consider donating enough for a bale or two. If not, then at least keep us in your thoughts.
Can you help a disable vet? He has to move and is running out of time!!
Tuesday, July 2, 2013
My name is John.
I am a disabled veteran. I am currently wheel chair bound.
The apt. building I reside in for the past 18 years has been sold to developers for condo conversion.
I am looking for an accessible building and am having a difficult time locating one.
I need only a studio or 1 bed room, nothing fancy.
Could you suggest a resource that may be able to assist me?
I have been in contact with various agencies in the San Diego area with little success.
Thank you in advance

Let's support Ronald McDonald House with RED SHOE DAY...TODAY 6/27
Thursday, June 27, 2013
Hi Coesty, I've been working at the Ronald McDonald's House for the last few days preparing and getting teams together for our 4th annual Red Shoe Event. I gave you name and number at the station to Cheryl Haritatos who will be contacting you to possibly put a shoot out for us the morning of June 27th. Is this okay if you can do this for us? This is my passion and my love of life, of beside my honey that is. I hope to someday work here fulltime, it's truly my dream. Thanks for all you do for Chuck & I and your wonderful friendship. Love BonBon
Welcome to Red Shoe Day 2013!
Together with our 1,500 volunteers, much needed donations will be collected on the morning of June 27th to benefit San Diego’s Ronald McDonald House. Volunteers sing, dance, dress up in silly outfits and most importantly raise vital funds to help support our San Diego Ronald McDonald House families.
Each volunteer will be given an official Red Shoe Day 2013 tshirt! Volunteers that raise more than $150 on their personal fundraising pages through www.Razoo.com/2013RedShoeDay will also receive a Red Shoe Day 2013 hat!
Each intersection will be given several Ronald McDonald House posters as well as our official Red Shoes!! These Red Shoes can be used to collect donations from commuters and passers-by.
This year, our 1,500 volunteers will be across more than 220 intersections throughout San Diego County! Each intersection will be given Ronald McDonald House signs and our famous Red Shoe!
Coe's List is a Non-Profit...we did it!
Tuesday, June 25, 2013
HOLY COW, after many moons of working on this....we did it...Coe's List got the seal of approval from the IRS to be a non-profit group! This means your financial support for your fellow San Diegans and critters in need will be a tax deductible donation...and we sure could use some help. After all this time, your support of Coe's List is making moves to be become a one-stop shop for heroes! Turn to the list to assist with resources or job availabilities, or your tax deductible donations (payable to Coe's List). You can earmark your donation for something or someone specific. I will compile the info and you can wear your red cape of a superhero...making a difference one step at a time, one person at a time, and one critter at a time. Thank you for believing in Coe's List....I am truly humbled.... Coe

Listener Wants to Adopt a Mini Horse or Donkey? Yes...ADOPT!
Wednesday, June 12, 2013
Dear Coe –
My name is Kate and I have been listening to you since we moved to San Diego in the early 1990’s. I feel like I’ve really come to know you through the years with how you share so much of yourself with your listeners. You are such a delight and an amazing person to always help others and animals.
I am a retired paralegal and my husband is now retired from the Navy (submarine force) and San Diego is our permanent home.
I am very much involved with helping animals myself and now help run a private horse ranch in Bonita.
I am writing to you hoping that perhaps a listener or someone you know can help. Our horse ranch is owned by a retired Navy helicopter pilot who purchased his property way back in the 1970’s. He now only has a handful of boarders and mostly older “retired” horses (and a llama) that people have abandoned through the years.
I myself have two horses in great shape that I enjoy riding regularly.
The reason I am writing you is that recently we lost one of our miniature horses. We had two (Abe and Oscar). Abe was brought to us by a woman who had MS and could no longer care for him. We promised his owner that he would never be sold or given away and would be loved and well cared for by us. Oscar was abandoned in a field and came to us by way of the County. He and Abe have been together for 5 years or so and recently Oscar passed away of natural causes. Abe is very lonely and sad. He has a great time every day in our acre arena with my paint horse, but truly misses his “miniature brother”.
As such, I am looking for a miniature horse or donkey that could be a companion for Abe. It would be well cared for, loved and have a forever home. It would never be ridden or worked. He or she would be kept in a barn stall with a large paddock run and we have an acre arena for daily turn outs. I was hoping to reach a listener who may need to rehome a little mini horse or donkey.
I can provide references through our veterinarian.
Thank you for your time and I can’t tell you how much your presence with KGB has meant to me through all these years. No matter what (deployments, health issues (I am a breast cancer survivor), I could always count on you to make me smile. Thank you for your time and I wish you all the best! Rock On Woman!
