I do(did) and I hated them. Well now there is an app that will block unwanted text and phone calls, without adding the caller/texter to your contacts. It’s called Current Caller ID. I’m going to save me a lot of typing (you’ll see why) and let you watch the video below. Pretty amazing app!

Remember Google Glass we told you about, a while back? Well they have those tiny cameras inside them so now strip clubs are not allowing them inside. It’s too easy to get what they refer to as “Creep Shots”, and you can record with them as well. Google Glass has been added to other banned items like cell phones. We’ve come a long way with technology haven’t we???

Once in a while folks ask me why I started this ride club. The answer is simple, because I love people and I love riding…
So goes this past Sunday morning when my alarm went off at 6 a.m., I put on my ride gear and opened my garage door. I pulled my bike down the driveway and warmed up the motor.
As I grabbed my helmet I could hear my Father’s V Star 1100, rolling through the neighborhood. He pulled up in front of my driveway and gave me a smile as I waved good morning.
Next, my pal Rudy pulled his Harley Davidson Deuce, around the corner and after a quick nod we took off for our regular monthly meeting spot.
When we got to Coffee Corner there were several folks standing around the front of the place, talking, and sipping their drinks.
As usual, we started with hand shakes and hugs and introduced ourselves to some new riders to the group. After a short while, we had about twenty three people ready to hit the road.
We made a couple of safety announcements and some upcoming events and then saddled up.
We rode through Santee until we hit the 52 freeway, headed east to the 67 North, and just as we started through the North End of Lakeside, another couple of friends joined us at the back of the pack.
We traveled up into Ramona and hung a right on Dye Road, made another right on San Vincente Rd. and then onto Wild Cat Canyon onto the Barona Indian Reservation.
We all parked just outside the casino and made our way through to the Sage Café. As we approached the host stand, I smiled at the young lady and asked if she could seat 25 of us on patio. She laughed (she could only see about eight of us around the corner in the lobby), then realizing I was serious, she said the patio was too full but could accommodate us with two large tables.
We were able to sit and enjoy our meals while catching up on our lives. The fun part was also getting to know about some of the new faces that were with us as well.
After that, some of us headed for home to be with our families and others continued on to other ride destinations for the day.
While I ride home after meet ups like this one, I’ll catch myself smiling about some funny conversation we had during that morning.
Until the next one, ride safely.
I hope to see you there and all bikes welcome.

We met last night at Bunz Gourmet Burgers in Mission Valley for an evening of burgers, as we do on the first Thursday of every month.
Twenty five burger club members showed up last night per the suggestions of our very own, Steve Wilkinson.
At first, I was a little skeptical about the location because many restaurants that are attached to hotels (in my opinion), seem to lack that welcoming feeling that some of the family owned businesses have. I was pleasantly surprised because Tammie and the staff at Bunz were extremely friendly.
What about the burgers? It's got to be better than what I can grill at home or it's not worth the trip or the money.
The thing about a burger is it's not just flavor, it's presentation and the way it's cooked. If you ask me, I like a rare to medium rare burger with a bit of seasoning and slightly soft in the middle. Carefully leaving the outside slightly more well done to lock in the juices and the flavor of the meat. I was very happy with my burger at Bunz.
Sides matter... while the burgers don't have to be enormous, I at least want to be satisfied when I'm finished with my plate. Admittedly, I am on a weight loss program so I had my burger with vegetables and a salad. Both were very good. As far as other Burger Club members, I was told that the garlic fries, onion rings and various other sides were very good.
There are several other factors when choosing a burger place but at the end of the day, what really makes it great is the company of the members. It's catching up with old friends and chatting with new members that show up for the first time.
