iDoorCam is an IndieGoGo fundraiser that raised almost $43,000 in just two days into their fundraiser. Almost half way to 100K with 35 days left to go says a lot about the need for this product. It looks like they will blow away their goal by a massive amount.
What is iDoorCam?
You install this little door knob/camera/microphone/speaker puck at your front door. It connects wirelessly to your home WiFi and then to your smart phone. When someone rings the doorbell, it rings your smart phone and you “answer” the door using your smart phone. You can ignore it, talk to the visitor and listen to them. When you say “Yes? How can I help you?”, you’re safely behind the door or from the pool on vacation. It really doesn’t matter where you are as long as you have wireless or cell data connection(works on 3G and 4G). Watch the video for a better idea of how it works and see if it would benefit you. Remember every start-up fundraiser, always has better pricing then waiting for retail. So don’t wait too long.
You do so with Lost Droid Finder. It used to be that if you wanted to recover a lost or stolen smart phone, you had to have previously installed and set up a recovery app. Then you could perform functions like SCREAM to make your phone make a very loud noise to help you locate it. You could also use Locate to see within about 10 yards where your phone was on a map. Finally you could Wipe everything on the phone so a thief or anyone that found your phone couldn’t access private information and photos. Now, with Lost Droid Finder, you can go to Google Play Store and install this app AFTER you have already lost your phone. Read the details of how by clicking on the photo.
