Google Passes Twitter
Item #1
I remember telling my friends and family about Facebook. They all said, “Oh it’s OK, I do MySpace.” Now, not a single person that I know of actively uses MySpace. I’ve been telling them all about Google+ now. I’ll bet you can guess what they all said when I told them to get a Google+ ? Yup, “That’s OK, I use Facebook“. Now the numbers in. There are more active users on Google+, then there are on Twitter. Why is it growing so fast? In my opinion it’s because you can avoid any drama, not see everyone’s last meal and only tell a specific group what you want them to read. Google+ is different than any other social network out there, in that you put people in “circles”, and when you type a post, you decide which “circles” should see it. For example I can put up a post about how great Valentines day went for me and my wife. I don’t really want my professional network reading that so I just click on two Circles, Family and Friends. If I want to tell everyone how I how I feel about the Nexus 7 tables, I can put that in “All Circles” with one click.
Google+ is much more controlled and private. You can control how much you see from each person or circle. Another great thing about Google+, is every photo I snap on my Android phone, goes to a cloud storage in Google+, automatically set to private, until I choose to share it and choose the “circles” to share it with. These are just a few reasons I prefer Google+, there are many more amazing things like Google+ Hangouts, etc. So, go check it out, you won’t regret it. And, no, you don’t have to stop using Facebook. You can even still use Myspace if you’re into that kind of thing. (click HERE to learn more about Google+) or watch the video below.
