I’m sure most people consider themselves the expert Googlers(I did). Until now, I’ve learned some much faster ways to search Google. I’m going to list them(some of which you’ll know) then I’ll follow it up with a longer more detailed article(at least the link and credit for the compilation)
- If you want to search specifically a sentence or phrase, put the whole thing in quotes. Example: “Nexus 7 help” gives different results the nexus 7 help without quotes.
- If you want a certain author and specific result search: author:Lowell space “Nathan Lowel”
- for a fast definition search: define allegory
- for a quick math problem (no need to find your calculator) just search: (9*7)/8+38-9
- for a fast conversion search: 400 Meters in Feet it does the math for you
- to search a document or website for a word hit Command(or CTRL) and F, a box drops down that only searches the document or web page your on.
- to zoom a document or Web page in or out, press Command (or CTRL) and the +/- key
- Command (or CTRL) and L will select and highlight the web address bar
- Command and TAB will change tabs in Google Chrome and may also change applications you’re using
- Of course the stand by pressing CTRL and C will copy, CTRL and V will paste, CTRL and X will cut, CTRL and P will print, CTRL and A will select all (keep in mind CTRL may be Command on your keyboard)

Part 2: Hotels Cheaper Then Priceline, No Planning Needed
I just found an app called HotelTonight. At Noon in the city you’re located, deals pop up for unused hotel rooms. It used to be, if you didn’t plan ahead, you payed the highest rate for a hotel, or you could use priceline and “bid” on an area for a hotel. If you’re in a large city, this could be great for you.
