KISS and Motley Crue kicked off their co-headlining tour on Friday in Bristow, Virginia just outside Washington, D.C. Billed as The Tour, Motley is opening each show and on Friday singer Vince Neil walked out on stage accompanied by two scantily-clad women who were part of the show, performing aerial stunts that were described as "a mixture of circus meets Vegas casino." They did 12 songs in 80-minutes including the live debut of their new single, "Sex."
KISS opened with “Detroit Rock City” and ended just over an hour later with "Rock and Roll All Nite." A few opening night technical glitches had them coming up against a strict 11 p.m, curfew, but Paul Stanley said, "They told us that they were gonna shut the power down,” but they continued with an edited version of "Black Diamond” and the one song encore of “Rock and Roll All Nite."
They followed up Bristow with Virginia Beach on Saturday and Raleigh, North Carolina last night (Sunday). Up next is Atlanta tomorrow (Tuesday).
